Aarthi Arab, MD

I grew up in Michigan and attended medical school at Central Michigan University in Saginaw, MI. I went on to complete my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. 

 My areas of interest include, but are not limited to, low and high-risk obstetrics, abnormal uterine bleeding and pelvic pain, including endometriosis and fibroids, contraceptive care, and more.

 Surgically, I offer minimally invasive approaches, including vaginal and robotic surgery, as well as open abdominal surgery when necessary. I am eager to answer questions and engage in shared decision making while practicing the most up-to-date evidence-based medicine. My goal is to make my patients feel heard and to always provide culturally competent care for people of all backgrounds. 

 Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling as much as possible, including exploring more of Illinois.
